News and top picks for arts, culture, and events

Over the past two years, What the Festival has grown exponentially and developed a reputation as the “Millennial Generation’s Woodstock” and likened to other big-name art and dance-driven festivals like its daddy-bear, Burning Man (read our profile of it last year). It returns this year to Wolf Run Ranch outside Dufur, Oregon on June 19–22, and the lineup looks like it could keep you up all weekend: Glitch Mob, Washed Out, Emancipator Ensemble, Nightmares on Wax, and many others.

The festival also offers a whole host of life’s other hedonistic activities, including an illuminated forest (we’re just as intrigued), a hookah lounge, a spa and sauna, and a splash pool all set against an Eastern Cascades forest-y backdrop. Not to mention, the accommodation options cater to any budget and outdoor comfort level, from walk-in tent camping for outdoor enthusiasts to safari tent–glamping (complete with a concierge!) for those less excited by friendly forest critters and ground-based beds.

Early bird tickets sold out in under an hour on April 7 but full-priced tickets are still up for grabs. So start putting together your zaniest costumes, and we’ll see you at Wolf Run Ranch!

The lineup includes:

The Glitch Mob
Washed Out
Nightmares On Wax
Rl Grime
Emancipator Ensemble
Claude Vonstroke
Cashmere Cat
Julio Bashmore
Fort Knox Five
Natasha Kmeto
