TURKEY DROP!

November 26, 2008

A little "WKRP in Cincinnati" magic to get your through this wasted work day.

I’m spending the Thanksgiving holiday in Seattle this year. This is weird for me. Back home in Arkansas, all holiday food is served in casserole form. Potato casserole. Green bean casserole. Sweet potato casserole. Corn casserole. Apparently casserole is code for "three times the amount of butter than is usually recommended for an adult male to eat in a calendar year." And I like it that way.

Not sure how my arteries will adjust to a festive meal I’m told will include salmon, baked potato, corn on the cob, and salad.

Salad? Seriously. Don’t even play.

Anyway, at least this year my heart isn’t likely to stop. Like it did back in ’89…or as we in our family call it, "the year we created dressing casserole."

Have a happy Thanksgiving ya’ll.
