Oregon's newest headlining vino venture is set to seriously shrink the gap from city center to wine country. The new Southeast Wine Collective will to debut on September 26th on the newly-bustling corner of SE Division and 35th Place (also home to Marco Frattaroli's Cibo and the new Townshend's tea shop).

As previously reported, the collective urban winery will be the new homebase for four up-and-coming winemaking teams (Vincent Wine Company, Bow & Arrow Wines, Helioterra Wines, and Division Winemaking Company) and will feature a tasting bar showcasing a rotating selection of the member winemakers' goods on tap.

Founding members Kate and Thomas Monroe teamed up with local architect Joe Karman to transform an empty warehouse space into a fully modern wine production facility, cellar room, in addition to the tasting bar with the goal of serving as an incubator for future wine brands. At the soon-to-debut space, neighbors and visitors alike will be able to watch small-production winemakers in action, then dive into flights of their finished products (along with wine-friendly nosh like charcuterie and cheese plates).

The winery aims to produce around 5000 cases this year, with hopes to grow over the next few vintages, and collective members are looking forward to opening their space for wine release events, happy hour specials, and pop-up dinner parties. Stay tuned for photos of the enterprising space, right here on Eat Beat.
