Slide Show: Toasting to the PDX Urban Wine Experience
On June 8, RefugePDX became the wine hub of Portland, when 12 of the metropolitan area's urban wineries gathered to pour their wines and connect wine lovers with winemakers themselves. The PDX Urban Wine Experience isn’t just a way to taste great wines from local vineyards—it's also an extensive tour of what makes Oregon a great wine-growing region. With grapes imported from most of the states major growing region, visitors were able to try the wide variety of wines Oregon can produce, without moving more than twenty feet. Longtime industry stalwarts Hip Chicks do Wine and Jan-Marc Cellars were joined by newcomers Clay Pigeon Winery and last-minute sign up Fausse Piste Winery. Check out our photos from the event for a peek at the action.
