Making some waves with their February issue, Vogue just published a controversial spread inspired by Hurricane Sandy and the people involved. The photos, shot by celebrated photographer Annie Leibowitz, show models Karlie Kloss, Joan Smalls, and Kasia Struss in a series of poses with different first responders and people impacted by the storm along with quotes from those first responders.

The question at hand is: Is it in poor taste? While the magazine did help raise 1.7 million dollars for Sandy Relief after the storm, critics argue that plunking models down next to firemen and doctors trivializes the roles they played in saving lives during the massive storm.

What do you think?
