After nearly a year of laying low after his departure from the Woodsman Tavern, chef Jason Barwikowski is back with a new local collaboration.

The Explorers Series, a pop-up mash-up from Barwikowski, Billy Tosheff of Stargazer Farm, and Kelley Roy of ADX and Portland Made, will host weekly Friday "Lunch Wagons" at ADX and monthly dinner/brunch events at Tosheff's 200-year-old Stargazer Farms.

Lunch Wagon

Every Friday from noon to 2 pm, ADX Members $10, Non-members $25: Barwikowski (who also made a name as executive chef of Clyde Common and Olympic Provisions in the meat empire's early days) will whip up a family-style lunch at ADX, Portland's craftsman cooperative. The event aims to serve as a gathering of Portland's manufacturing workforce, and to teach diners about different aspect of our local manufacturing ecosystem.

Seasonal ingredients for the midday meal will be sourced from Stargazer Farm, and speakers are set to include Portland-based Circa Cycles, Mercy Corps Northwest, and Britt Howard from Portland Garment Factory. Check out the full calendar of upcoming speakers here

Dinner at the Farm

The Explorers Series will also host monthly dinner and brunch events at Stargazer Farm at the confluence of the Sandy and Bull Run Rivers. The first two-part event is slated for August 9 (dinner, featuring roasted pork shoulder with tomatillo and almond sauce, grilled fennel and spigariello, and potatoes with basil pesto, $100) and August 10 (brunch, honey granola, pancakes, corned beef hash, BLTs, and Stargazer farm chef salad, $40).
