In 2014, Narumol “Nong” Poonsukwattana of Nong’s Khao Man Gai competed on Food Network’s Chopped against a formidable lineup of food truck chefs from all around the country. She crushed the competition, blowing away the judges with a suckling pig sporting fresh Thai curry and pickled fiddlehead ferns, and raking in the $10,000 prize.

On Thursday, October 29, Nong returns to the fray with Chopped: Impossible, a four-part battle between 12 previous Chopped champions, judged by musclebound British celebrity chef Robert Irvine. Nong will go up against James Major (the executive chef for the Cincinnati Reds ballpark), Robyn Almodovar (Palate Party food truck in Florida), and Timothy Peterson (sous chef at Beauty & Essex and Stanton Social in NYC). In the end, the champion will face Irvine himself for a chance to win $40,000.

I wouldn’t want to be Irvine, going up against a talented, steely-eyed Nong. Tune in on October 29, 5pm (PST). Double check air times on Food Network’s website.
