28th Annual Oregon Brewers Festival
What: Join 85,000 beer-lovers as they descend upon the Willamette River for a taste of over 90 different craft beers from around the country, plus 15 beers from New Zealand and The Netherlands in the International Tent. Food Innovation Center Pop-Up
What: The first in a series of pop-ups by OSU’s Food Innovation Center, these dinners are designed to increase awareness of Oregon-grown crops…not that Portlanders need any incentive to buy local. Highlights from the unusual, 11-piece tasting menu: red cabbage stuffed with hazelnut miso and potatoes, swiss chard with pickled grapes, plums, and herbs, and barley-infused ice cream.

OMSI: Craft of Grafting
What: Ever wonder what the difference is between a hybrid, heirloom and GMO plant? Why are some carrots purple? What’s a meyer lemon or a kalette? OMSI’s labs explore the science and technology behind modern food production. Participants will be able to experiment with—and bring home—their very own grafted plant.
