Portland Business Journal reports that Dave's Killer Bread, the organic Portland bread brand, has been purchased by Flowers Food Inc. (owners of Wonder Bread and Tastykake) for $275 million. Dave's Killer Bread was born as a spinoff of NatureBake in 2005, with ex-con Dave Dahl (brother of then-CEO Glenn Dahl) as the mascot for their farmer's market-proud brand.
