Rock ‘n’ Roll Camp for Girls AMP Awards
Pre-party 6 p.m., Main event 7 p.m., After-Party 9 p.m., Sat October 19, The Odditorium, $20-$100, 21+
Rock ‘n’ Roll Camp for Girls is proud to present the 2019 AMP Awards, featuring live music by Portland’s own The Rachel Brashear Trio. Trade in your '80s outfit for skinny jeans and a leather jacket at the rock ‘n’ roll themed Odditorium, recording studio of Portland indie royalty the Dandy Warhols. Proceeds from the VIP wine pre-party, Rock Art Raffle, silent auction, and karaoke after-party all benefit rock ‘n’ roll camps that teach girls and women how to play instruments, collaborate with bandmates, and find their voices through songwriting and live performance. The event will also honor Katherine Paul (KP), former RNRC4G camper turned Board President, also known as Black Belt Eagle Scout. And don’t forget your chance to bid on a slick MBM electric guitar autographed by Sean Lennon (son and protege of music legend John Lennon and Yoko Ono).
