The inaugural PDX Galley Wars Rose Festival Fleet Week event featured five sea service chefs paired with five local restaurant chefs to compete for the best street taco dish. Guests took photos with the mobile photo booth, enjoyed live music and craft cocktails like the Riveter 2.0 and Canadian Moose Milk while tasting and voting for their favorite taco. Red Star Tavern and the Job Corps of Astoria garnered the most votes with their braised lamb and charred habanero salsa street taco! This exciting community event, presented by the Rose Festival and Regence BlueCross, Blue Shield of Oregon, connected our servicemen and women with all things Portland, including special guest Mayor Ted Wheeler, and local, delicious eats!
