The event also promises roving carolers, a Puppermint Lane featuring adoptable dogs, a Yuletide Lounge with cocktails, home decor and cookie decorating workshops, and a "real bearded Santa...presented by Mattress Firm." Admission is $13–14, free for ages 12 and under. Parking can cost more than a ticket, but it’s free on Friday after 4pm, and the Yellow Line MAX stops right outside, too.

Find Nordic collectibles, clothes, housewares, artwork, and more at this annual fundraiser for Nordic Northwest's cultural programs and community events. Admission is free and no membership is necessary, though Nordic Northwest members can sign up for a special presale Friday afternoon.

There’s no Lloyd Center Ice Rink this winter, but Portlanders can drive an hour south to find an ice rink as well as a snowless tubing hill at this German-inspired market/winter wonderland at the Oregon Garden Resort. Timed tickets start at $15 when bought in advance for ages 6 and up, and ice skating, tubing, and parking are sold separately.

Hosted by the Friends of the Hillsboro Community Senior Center as an annual fundraiser, this event promises "the sparkle" of more than 40 local vendors.

Gather Arts (based near Brush Prairie, Washington) and Club Paesano (which started as a group of Italian produce dealers and farmers who held an annual picnic) host this weekend-long event featuring more than 35 vendors, craft classes for kids and adults, and Italian food. Now in its 10th year, this nationwide event encourages people to follow Black Friday and Small Business Saturday with a trip to a museum (and a stop in its gift shop). Local participants include the Oregon Maritime Museum, the Lan Su Chinese Garden, the Oregon Jewish Museum and Center for Holocaust Education, the Japanese American Museum of Oregon, Portland Art Museum, Oregon Rail Heritage Center, and the Rice Northwest Museum of Rocks and Minerals. 

It's time for the holiday edition of this recurring event in the Central Eastside Industrial District, modeled after similar markets in Vancouver, BC, and across Asia. Expect more than a hundred local vendors, plus food and drink.  You can buy a $10 timed fast pass to skip the entry line.

Conveniently, the event overlaps with the annual winter "steam-up" at neighboring model railroad mecca Staver Locomotive.

Grab Lebkuchenherzen (heart-shaped gingerbread cookies), German Christmas tree ornaments, and wares from local artisans while you enjoy some Glühwein and live entertainment at this annual German American Society market. The kids can take pictures with Santa, too.

This fundraiser for the Bird Alliance of Oregon features works from artists (including painter Erika Beyer, woodworker Uli Kirchler, and screen printer Shino Mikami) and authors (including "everyday naturalist" Rebecca Lexa, cut-paper calendar queen Nikki McClure, and hiking guru William Sullivan) around the Northwest, plus a silent auction and a raffle for a very nice pair of binoculars. Tickets (available online or at the door) are $13 and include parking, though the festival's location at the Washington County Fairgrounds is right by a MAX stop. Kids 18 and under are free. 

Catch more than 100 BIPOC vendors selling their wares at this holiday version of the popular pop-up. Past markets have included clothing and accessories from Barnes & Morgan, Stackin’ Kickz, Do Better Press, and Casual Day; personal care items from the National Beard League, Callie's Custom Hat Wigs, and Essance Skincare; art and home goods from Sheila Wong, Little Roots PDX, Flor y Fiesta, and much, much more. Admission is free.

At this Oregon Convention Center mainstay touted as "the largest handmade craft show in the Northwest," the 200-plus vendors aren’t allowed to sell anything mass-produced or AI-generated. Timed tickets for Saturday and Sunday are $4, while Friday night's "preshow party" costs $25. If you can't make it, Crafty Wonderland's shops on SW 10th Avenue and on NE Alberta Street are there for you, too. 

ScanFair includes an impressive list of Nordic-themed vendors selling textiles, candles, wood crafts, felted items, chocolates, and plenty of other goods. But the real draw might be the food (think meatballs, æbleskiver, and cardamom buns), drink (mead and aquavit, anyone?), and entertainment (Finnish dance troupes, Scandinavian musicians, a photo op with a 20-foot Viking ship replica, a meatball eating contest, and a pickled herring eating contest). Tickets are $15 (plus fees) for ages 12 and up, $12 for Nordic Northwest members, $10 ages 6–11, and free for kids 5 and under, and $5 with an EBT card as part of the Arts for All program.
