Whether you’re looking to soothe your morning sweet tooth or searching for an afternoon pick-me-up, there's something in Beaverton for a wide range of tastes, whether that's Japanese-inspired pastries or vegan Swedish treats. These are the bakeries to flock to in Beaverton.

Beard Papa’s

Oregon’s sole location of the Japanese chain Beard Papa’s is bringing its signature cream puffs to an outpost inside Beaverton’s Uwajimaya Asian Market. The small flaky pastry filled with vanilla bean custard that abundantly oozes at first bite makes quite the mess, but it’s worth it. Spice up your cream puff by switching up your shell with a topping like strawberry or honey butter, or change your filling to chocolate or green tea. Not into cream puffs? The fondants (think lava cake) and cheesecakes are worth indulging in. 10500 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy —DB

Carina’s Bakery

If vegan baked goods are your jam, Carina’s Bakery, which specializes in Swedish recipes from the owner’s family, is the place to get your fix. The bakery’s offerings also include plenty of gluten-free treats like the Danish Dream Cake (Drømmekage)—a rich, but not overly sweet option finished with a caramel coconut topping—and the Scandinavian almond cake, surprisingly and delightfully flavorful and moist. 4725 SW Lombard Ave #108 ILK

The Dessert Tray

The Dessert Tray is the epitome of IYKYK. While this small bakery, which has been in business since 1996, doesn’t offer much curb appeal, it makes up for it in sweets. A great deal of its business comes custom orders, but the storefront has plenty to choose from on any given day—from cookies and bars, to cakes like the decadent chocolate buttermilk cake filled with chocolate ganache, and the lemon curd. 11950 SW Broadway St —DB

Customers wait in line with conchas and more at La Espiga Dorada.

La Espiga Dorada

A breath of fresh air for your stomach—and wallet—La Espiga Dorada is one-stop shop for all your favorite Mexican breads, pastries, and sweet treats. Grab your tray and tongs and load up on conchas, muffins, and a few of the rather large assortment of donuts. Favorites like tres leches cake and flan are also available near the register, so leave room. 18350 SW Tualatin Valley Hwy —DB

Oyatsupan's top tier croissants.

Oyatsupan

Less than a mile away from the Nike Campus is a GOAT-level business in its own right. Oyatsupan has gained a reputation for dishing out quality Japanese sweets, luring in customers local to Beaverton and beyond. We’ve raved about their melonpan and shokupan (Japanese milk bread), but they’re also serving stellar croissants from the sweet—like the apple critter—to the savory—like the jalapeno cream cheese and egg. Take your goodies to go, or grab a seat in the airy, sleek space among remote workers and friends catching up. 16025 SW Regatta Ln —DB

Countless options to choose from at Tous Les Jours.

Tous Les Jours

It’s easy to get overwhelmed at Tous Les Jours, the French-Asian inspired chain serving hundreds of baked goods. Our suggestion? Go for the gusto. If plain croissants and donuts are your go-to, skip your usual and opt for red bean donut lightly dusted with sugar, or a spinach feta Danish, a savory but not too filling option. 11735 SW Beaverton Hillsdale Hwy —DB
