I hate to brag, but if there’s one thing Oregon is the best at, its dreaming up really delicious artisan foodstuffs. Namely the three C’s: cheese, chocolate, and charcuterie. They're our definitive wheelhouse. At the Good Food Awards—an annual competition where the best food and drink craftspeople from all over the country compete in 14 food categories—we get to strut our stuff. 

On January 11, at the San Francisco War Memorial & Performing Arts Center, Oregon took home 25 wins, from more than 2,000 entrants. That matches our record-breaking showing from last year and beats out Seattle and the rest of the Pacific Northwest (Minnesota is also included in the region, weirdly.)

Top marks went to regular medalists Olympia Provisions, which took home three awards for its Saucisson Sec, Saucisson Aux Noisettes de Oregon (that’s Oregon Hazelnut to non-Francophiles), and Green Peppercorn Pate. 

The rest of the list includes some all-time PoMo favorites, including Bloom Coconut Caramel Sauce, Briar Rose Fromage Blanc, Fuller Foods Serious Cheesy Puffs, Honey Mama’s Mayan Spice Bar, Hot Mama Salsa Smokey Coffee Chile Oil, and OlyKraut spicy garlic sauerkraut.
