Description

Located in the historic Cully Building, this period lighting company peddles handcrafted, American-made, solid brass lighting fixtures and an extensive collection of exclusive hand-blown, hand-painted glass shades based on the old schoolhouse styles of the early 20th century. Out of production and unavailable for over 50 years, more than a hundred of these light fixtures have been replicated here in Portland using the original molds, patterns, and methods. Happily, the collection has expanded to include Art Deco, Arts & Crafts, early electric, transitional, Art Nouveau, Colonial Revival, and classic modern pieces. Schoolhouse Electric’s wares are both vintage and modern, both simple and undeniably hip.
