In a work of kitschy literalism, the Side Door not only is located in a side door (of the historic Logus building), but its tables, signs, and bar are all constructed from reclaimed Portland doors. This tiny establishment is friendly and laid-back, serving coffee, food (hot & cold sandwiches), beer, and wine. Their fidelity to local and organic ingredients makes their recipes truly quality. First Mondays see live music, according to the website—but how they fit a band (much less a band and an audience) into the joint is beyond me.

Oh, and P.S., $4 fresh squeezed mimosas on Sundays.
