West Elm Courts Etsy

Mark your calendars for a spring afternoon of crafty shopping at West Elm where you’ll snack, drink, and shop with your favorite local Etsy artists, Saturday, May 21

Springtime shopping is on my agenda and I’m going to West Elm to meet some of Portland’s best Etsy artists. Thanks to West Elm and Lynn Russell who helped organize this extra cool collaboration of lady crafters, we’ll be able to say hi and buy directly from our creative clutch of local artists. And, chocolate whiskey cupcakes and donut holes from Devil’s Food Catering never hurt.

Russell will be there, peddling her lovely letterpress wares from Satsuma Press. From La Petite Vie’s soaps and elixers to Moufelt’s felted pillows and Zanna handscreened textiles, there’s a sense of care and artistry in the selection of work. In the mood for jewels? Well, everyone needs a locket this spring and Verabel shop is rocking in that department. I love my new royal blue enameled locket studded with a big golden bee;It stops people dead in their tracks when I wear it. The prints and small paintings from Kiki & Polly are thoughtful and deep, and a price everyone can afford. And if you’re in need of some cheap and cheerful decor, pick up a few whimsical paper flower kits from Pom Love. Put on your favorite frock, take a turn in the smilebooth, and sip some lemonade at the house of West Elm in the Pearl, Saturday, May 21, from 1 to 6 pm.
