Ready for anywhere, any weather: bolster pillows made of water repellent polyester fabric over quick-drying poly-infill, capped off with artificial "grassy tufts."

There's always room on the wish list for "things you never knew existed, but now you've got to have." In that category, a recent entry: the lush grassy-backed indoor-outdoor pillow. Made by Alicia Blas of Firmly Planted, they come in four sizes (plus custom pieces including dog beds, clocks, and cushions for outdoor furniture).

Blas's company, Firmly Planted, is located in Los Angeles, where they also do custom installation work. And we're not talking football fields or miniature golf. She finds quirky and inventive uses for artificial turf that most of us would never imagine. (Los Angeles seems like a logical place for such ideas to be conjured up.)
Pillows are from $39 to $89 and can be ordered online in several styles including 8" x 20" bolster pillow (pictured), 12" x 20" lumbar pillow, and square pillows in three sizes (10" to 16").
