Did the show accurately represent your style?

No. I was too concerned with creating something the judges would like that I ended up cre- ating boring clothing that they hated. I think if you were to look at my work before and after PR, you would see that I did not ac- curately represent myself.

Getting a job. Lots of people don't realize that being on Project Runway also comes with stigma. I was told in countless interviews that they didn't think I was a good fit because they knew this isn't what I wanted to do. What I really wanted to do was p

If given the chance, would you do it again?

Yes. It’s an amazing journey of self discovery. If it wasn’t for Project Runway, I would not have the thick skin and the balls to put it out all out there.

Why do you think Portlanders seem to make it on the show so often?

We are talented Mo***r Fu*****. We can sew and we make good TV.

Do you think it's possible to make it as a fashion designer if you stay here?

I love Portland but I feel that it does not have the infrastructure to truly support us independent designers. To not go into too much detail, I'll put it like this: The large majority of us do not do our clothing lines as our day jobs.

What's the next big thing around the corner for you?

I'm hustling to get my collection off the ground. I just finished the website and am now looking for affordable production options. You will also see my collection in the Fade to Light Fashion show August 28.
