Slide Show: DIY Fall Beauty Trends
August 21, 2014

Stylist Kelly Peach from Hair M|W shows us how to tackle Fall's beauty trends.

Instead of curling from the ends up, add more wave to your hair by wrapping the hair from the crown to the tips.

For a full brow, our brow expert Monica Ninh says apply Anatasia's Dip brow in appropriate brow color (go one shade lighter than your brow color, never use black). Then ayer on Brow Wiz brow pencil to give a natural look to the brow.

Let the brow take center stage, using a natural lip to keep the look daytime chic.

Finger comb out your curls to achieve the perfect beachy look.

To begin a fishtail braid, pull the hair into a low side ponytail.

Apply Oribe's Dry to add texture to the hair and grip to help hold the brad. Put your hair in a side ponytail with a small elastic band. Separate the section into 2 sections. Pull a thin strand of hair from the outside of the left section.

Pull it over the top of the left section, and grasp under the right section. In other words, the strand of hair has gone over the left section and finishes under the right section. Repeat on the other side until you reach the end. Cut the hair tie out.

Add a bold lip to take the braided look from Pippi Longstocking to fashion forward.

If you have a warm skin tone use an orange based red. If you are a cool tone, use a blue-based red.

Use gold colors this season instead of the typical black smokey eye. We used Chantecaille Wild Horses Palette for this great blended golden eye.

Work smarter and not harder. Keeping the fishtail and just loosely pinning it up to give a twist to the average bun look.
