It’s a celebration based on the belief that death is a continuation of life and, as such, should be an occasion for boisterous merrymaking. Locally, Miracle Theatre’s annual variety show is undoubtedly the best way to soak up a little Mexican Folklore 101. This year’s Día de los Muertos festival will include the requisite singing, dancing, and theatrical perfomances, but the presence of incendiary bilingual poet, and rapper Paul Flores should provide a different perspective for guests in need of fresh traditions.
