We say this every year, people. If neglecting our brilliant battery of bands, singer-songwriters, and miscellaneous noisemakers is the disease, PDX Pop Now is the cure. It's three days (July 19–21), 45 bands on two outdoor stages (SE Water Ave and Salmon St), and best of all, it's free, Free, FREE!

Lineup is listed below.

Ancient Heat, Billions and Billions, Blue Skies for Black Hearts, Cassow, Dangerous Boys Club, Dusu Mali, Fanno Creek, Gaytheist, Genders, Ghost Ease, Grammies, Hausu, Hot Victory, Like a Villain, Litanic Mask, Luck One, Magic Fades, Magic Mouth, Mattress, Memories, Minden, Mojave Bird, Natasha Kmeto, Orquestra Pacific Tropicale, Palo Verde, PWRHAUS, Ramona Falls, Richmond Fontaine, Satin Chaps, Shy Girls, Slimkid3 & Doo Doo Funk, Sons of Huns, Sun Angle, The We Shared Milk, Trio Subtonic, Unkle Funkle, Vice Device, Warm Hands, Witch Mountain, WL, Wooden Indian Burial Ground, Woolen Men, Y La Bamba, Youthbitch and Special Surprise Guests.

No clue as to the identities of the Special Surprise Guests, but we've got our hopes up.

In honor of the fest's 10th anniversary, this year's installment will have a distinctly street fair vibe with its own food court, activities area, and Rigsketball, the annual inter-band hoops tournament. For what it's worth, my money's on Gaytheist. Those cats are straight-up ballers.

And don't forget to take a sneak peek of Arts Editor Aaron Scott's feature about PDX Pop Now that's happening in our July issue.

Finally, to get us in the mood for all those delicious bands we're including the official PDX Pop Now video that's loaded with local talent, yummy cupcakes, and amazing pyrotechnics.
