The Smashing Pumpkins are Portland-bound, the band announced on their website this morning, and Liz Phair is coming with them. Billy Corgan’s alt rock trio is bringing their “acousto-electric evening" to the Schnitz on March 22, where they kick off a tour of classic North American theaters.

This year’s tour follows on from a brief, successful run in 2015 that saw the band—whose 1993 album Siamese Dream made them international rock stars—play a series of shows in venues around the country. The tour, titled "In Plainsong," will begin in Portland and ends in Houston on April 20.

Added bonus? Singer-songwriter and Smashing Pumpkins contemporary Liz Phair will open the show on her first full tour of the US in six years. It’s official: The dream of the '90s is alive and en route to Stumptown, where we all know it belongs.

Tickets go on sale on Friday, Feb 5 at 9am EST for the full tour, and are available through smashingpumpkinsnexus.com.
