It’s a roll call of some of the hottest bands in Portland right now, and it’s coming to you free, thanks to Buzz or Howl studios. Assembled by local singer-songwriter Joel Magid—also featured on the album—Mt. Portland is a compilation of brand-new songs from the likes of Sama Dams, Talkative, Máscaras, and more, all recorded at the Southeast Portland studios by Stan Wright.

We’ve got an exclusive preview of Mt. Portland—officially released on Sunday, February 28—right here, right now.

Come Sunday, you can also pick up your own copy in record stores around Portland, or at the Romtoms release show on the same day (where you can also catch And And And, Joel Magid, Candace, Michael Finn, and Boone Howard performing). You can also find it on Generous as a pay-what-you-want purchase, with all money "accidentally" made going to Ethos, a local nonprofit bringing music to Portland kids.

Plus, did we mention it's a damn fine record, crafted less as a throw-it-together compilation and more like a studio album. Have at it, Portland! Your soundtrack awaits . . .
