According to the New York Times, and the droves of downtowners who flock to his eponymous coffee cart come rain or shine, Andrea Spella serves the best espresso in Portland. And sometime later this fall, he’ll be able to serve even more of it. Spella will debut a bricks-and-mortar downtown cafe in the former home of short-lived Bikini Coffee Company on the recently revamped bus mall at 520 SW 5th Street, between Alder and Washington.

Spella’s new space will be tiny, but he plans seating for a few. For fans of the cart, no need to worry. The original Caffe Spella will remain open.
