BEST OF PDX
Foodie Retrospectives
Two year-end roundups put the 2011 world of food in perspective.
Portland’s foodists are busy chewing over the best restaurants and trends of the year. Following Eat Beat’s curated retrospective, The Dish on Portland Dining 2011, food blog Eater PDX unveiled its popular year-end series, Year in Eater 2011, which will run all week.
Among the year’s go-to spots for Eater’s food panel: Meat Cheese Bread, Biwa, and Nuestra Cocina. NW Palate‘s Peter Szymczak shouts out SE Clinton Street’s Savoy for “fried cheese curds, Friday night fish fries, and Nina Simone tribute nights.” Yelp’s Don Bourassa calls Sellwood’s Jade Teahouse “?Like that friend-with-benefits in college … the dirty secret I keep crawling back to.”
Read both: debate, discuss, add you own ideas.
