You’ve been to all the best wine festivals, beer gardens, and cocktail events, so what’s next for the intrepid lover of craft liquids? Why, Saké Fest PDX, of course.

This one-of-a-kind event will be bringing together over 80 kinds of of saké, plum wine, and beer, including locally-produced Oregon craft saké from Saké One, including G Saké, Momokawa, and Moonstone, as well as Morimoto ales from Rogue, a saké cocktail featuring St-Germain, and dozens of the best imported sakés available (including several premium and hard-to-find varieties). Check out the full pouring list here.

Need something to soak up the saké? Nosh on perfect pairings from Biwa, Kalé, Yakuza, Park Kitchen, Departure, Miho Izakaya, Saucebox, and more. The event will be a crash-course in pairing saké with all kinds of delectable edibles—and you get to eat your study materials!

It’s all going down at the The Governor Hotel (614 SW 11th Avenue) on Thursday, April 12 from 6:30 to 9 pm. All ticket holders will also receive free admission to the official after party at Saucebox featuring live music from The Slants, the first all-Asian American dance rock band in the world.

The $49 tickets gets all adults (21+) a night full of food, drinks, music, and a free souvenir saké glass to take home, and Eat Beat’s snagged a pair tickets to give away to our readers. Send me an email at [email protected] with "I Love Saké" in the subject line by Wednesday, April 11th at 7 pm, and I’ll pick a winner at random to be added to the list at the door.

Want to bring along family and friends or don’t want to risk the odds for the freebie? Affordable tickets are available here. Get ‘em before they’re gone. Kanpai!
