An all-women chef line-up is gearing up to test your tastebuds in 2013, as a part of Ecotrust's Blind Tasting Bingo event series. The culinary quiz game debuted at the September 2012 TBA Festival, and is returning for a six-month run of sensory deprivation and flavor exploration.

At each event, guests are given a colorful blindfold, a bingo board loaded with correct and false answers, and fifteen bites crafted by the host chef. The blind tasters who are able to correctly identify the secret samples will win a bottle of booze, because it's that kind of party.

The playful series launches February 7th with Nong Poonsukwattana of Nong’s Khao Man Gai (you can buy tickets here). She'll be sharing composed bites with a full spectrum of flavors true to her popular food cart's Thai roots.

Future game nights will spotlight regional Mexican food with Xico's Kelly Myers (March), Italian flavors with Nostrana's Cathy Whims (April), whole grains with Bakeshop's Kim Boyce (May), hyper-local cuisine with The Side Yard Farm's Stacey Givens (June), and gourmet surprises with Beast's Naomi Pomeroy (July). Check out the full schedule here.

Along with preparing the game's key ingredients, each chef will offer insights about how they approach flavor pairings and the creative process behind their culinary concoctions.

Each $40 game will take place on the second floor of the Ecotrust Natural Capital Center at 721 NW 9th Avenue in the Pearl District from 7:30 to 9 pm. Guests will also have access to cocktail pairings from New Deal Distillery, Merit Badge Co., and Bull Run Distillery at a cash bar, which will raise money for Ecotrust’s work to create a robust regional food system.
