Weigh In On Food & Wine's Best New Chef

Get your mouse poised and ready to click: Portland chefs are asking for your vote in the 2014 Food & Wine People's Best New Chef competition, one of the only national foodie contests to give online opinionists the chance to weigh in on regional culinary stand-outs.
This year, seven Portland hotshots dominate the Northwest bracket, one of the ten regional categories that subdivides the 100 nominees. Here are our Hometown Heroes set to bring home the braggin' rights:
- Ox's Greg Denton and Gabrielle Quiñónez Denton
- Ava Gene's Joshua McFadden
- Aviary's Sarah Pliner
- Levant's Scott Snyder
- Smallwares' Johanna Ware
- Castagna's Justin Woodward
How to add your two cents: Cast your vote on the Food & Wine website now—you've got until Monday, March 31 to make your digital voice heard.
In other Portland culinary awards news, four-time finalist Naomi Pomeroy (Beast) and six-time finalist Cathy Whims (Nostrana) are nominated for the James Beard Foundation's Best Chef Northwest 2014, but you don't get to vote on that one.
