An adorable new bar and market is now open on SE Hawthorne, specializing in specialty beer, wine, and seasonal drinking food. The high-design bar makes the most of unique vintage finds and modern fixtures, and takes its name from Portland pioneer Perry Prettyman, who was responsible for paving the road from his house on upper Hawthorne to the Willamette River—a path that would eventually become Hawthorne Blvd. The neighborhood bar is open from 11 am to 11 pm seven days a week.
