Bollywood Theater Fundraiser for Camp Ukandu

What: Bollywood Theater gives back with a fundraiser for young cancer patients. Proceeds go to Camp Ukandu, with activities from rock climbing to campfire sing-alongs, all under the supervision of trained medical staff.
When: May 24, 5 p.m. until close
Where: Both Bollywood Theater locations (2039 NE Alberta St. & 3010 SE Division St.)

Enso’s Sangria Party

What: The makers of “sangria in a bag” are now selling their fizzy, fun, and boozy creation in cans (50/50 dry rosé and Northwest berry juice, carbonated). Add tacos from Taco Pedaler and a mariachi band to the mix, and you have yourself an epic Memorial Day kickoff.
When: May 27, 4 - 11 p.m.
Where: ENSO Winery (1416 SE Stark St.)

Oyster Roast at the Coast

What: If you missed this event last year, fret not. Tournant is doing a repeat performance of their smoky, briny Memorial Day feast. Expect mountains of charcoal-grilled oysters from nearby Netarts Bay, sweet grilled corn, and learn from oyster farmer Travis Oja about local aquaculture.
When: May 29, 3 – 6 p.m.

Royale with Chizu

What: Like your porter with moderately aged Gouda? Prefer goat cheese paired exclusively with a floral pilsner? Portland’s Royale Brewing and Portland Cheese Course—a Cheese Bar offshoot—are bringing 6 expertly curated cheeses and beers to the table, including a special Belgian Blonde release from Royale.
When: May 24, 7 p.m.

Spend Memorial Day in Wine Country

What: In wine country, May (aka Oregon Wine Month), is the time to be a vino-lover. But on Memorial Day weekend, more than 150 Willamette Valley wineries open their doors, roll out the welcome mats, and tap into fresh vintages.
When: May 28–30
