Winter Solstice Restorative Yoga Celebration at the Bhaktishop

What: Welcome the darkness in this ritual celebration of the longest night of the year, featuring two full hours of simple, quiet, restorative asanas, deep reflection, chanting, and meditation. Dress in dark colors, bring a small candle, and prepare to embrace your shadows and your light.

Nine Free Days at­ Lan Su Chinese Garden 

What: Lan Su Chinese Garden is partnering with Oregon Food Bank to present nine days of free admission from January 3 through January 11 with a donation of canned or non-perishable food items. The Nine Free Days program is designed to help families and the community to visit Lan Su Chinese Garden no matter their ability to pay. Escape the cold with tea in the cozy teahouse, and learn about the rich cultural history of China while supporting hungry families throughout Oregon. 
When: January 3 through January 11

Baby Talk with OHSU Fertility Consultants

Post-Holiday Winter Cleansing Dinner at Oso Market

What: Santa isn’t the only one who seems to acquire a little round belly around the holidays. Oso Market wants to jumpstart your New Years' health goals with chef Jason Buss's special raw, vegan, and allergen-free dinner, featuring a raw charcuterie board with cashew chevre, almond ricotta, and eggplant sausage with fennel and cranberries, raw lasagna, and chocolate banana mousse in a maple date pecan crust.

Time for a Change: Managing Weight with Nutritional Strategies at the Herb Shoppe

What: Foster a healthy relationship to food  in the new year with some simple strategies to find out what is getting in the way of your healthy weight loss success. Chef Tressa Yellig and Dr. Rebecca Asmar will share nutritional tips to manage cravings, plan healthy menus, improve insulin sensitivity, and understand body types.

T’ai Chi Chuan at the Wellspring School

What: Explore the Taoist form of exercise and active meditation with Michael Guida BPS, LMT in these bi-weekly classes for all levels. Learn how to increase strength and stamina, correct physical posture and alignment, and discover exercises in breathing, sensitivity, concentration, and meditation.
When: Every Monday from 5:30-6:30 pm and every Saturday from 8-9:30 am
