Muddy Boot Festival 2010

THIS WEEKEND:
WHAT 5th Annual Muddy Boot Organic Festival – a sustainability-themed outdoor festival featuring live music; sustainably produced food, beer and wine; information booths and vendors selling green goods; educational workshops; discussion panels and fun activities for families and children. The theme of this year’s festival is “Nourishing Spirit: City to Farm.”
Music including Chicamarimba, Jackstraw, Freak Mountain Ramblers and Soul Vaccination on Saturday (among others) and on Sunday, Casey Neill and the Norway Rats, the St. Philip Neri Choir and more!
The 2010 keynote address is by "King Corn" filmmakers and food and agriculture policy advocates Curt Ellis and Ian Cheney, with Mark Edlen of Gerding Edlen Development Company providing the opening remarks. This event is Friday night – doors open at 6:30 and the event begins at 7 pm. Tickets for this talk are $25 at the door – it’s too late now to buy cheaper advance tickets – the talk, as well as the festival itself, is at the St. Philip Neri Church (see below).
WHEN The Festival runs Sat September 11, 2010 – 12 noon to 9 pm and Sun September 12, 2010 12 noon to 6 pm.

COST Festival tickets are $5 per day (kids 12 and under free).
PS A friend tells me there will be goats there – this turns it into a mandatory event in my book. I’d pay five bucks to pet goats any day!
