Portland Garden Club Presents…

Cultivating the Next Generation of Veggie Growers (and Eaters!)

By Kate Bryant February 14, 2011

The venerable Portland Garden Club holds monthly meetings that are free and open to the public. These events include talks and occasionally classes on topics from flower arranging to vegetable gardens – I’m sorry I missed January’s talk, as it featured revered garden designer Wallace Kay Huntington. There’s nothing on the website about joining, however – perhaps you can’t just join, but must be personally invited by a current member? Be that as it may, February’s event will present Debra Lippoldt and Caitlin Blethan with Growing Gardens.

WHAT: Portland Garden Club’s monthly meeting: "Cultivating the Next Generation of Veggie Growers and Eaters"
WHEN: Thursday, February 17, 2011: coffee @ 9:30 am, program meeting @ 10:15 am. You’d have to make it a long morning snack break to get away from work for that long but hey,
WHERE: 1132 Southwest Vista Avenue, Portland, OR 97205-1172 Tel: (503) 222-2845. Directions: Portland Garden Club
