On December 1, more than 500 mountain adventurers and urban explorers rang in the cold-weather season in style when Portland Monthly transformed Columbia's flagship store into a winter snow lodge. Guests enjoyed ski-themed games, giveaways galore, music, an epic ice luge, a mountainside photo booth, Oregon Wild, mac 'n' cheese, Blue Star Donuts, and make-your-own hot cocoa and trail mix bars, courtesy of Whole Foods. At the end of the night we rolled out the cake, blew out the candles, and wished the flagship store a happy 20th anniversary. It was a winter party so cool no one wanted to leave the lodge.
