To honor the work, dedication, and time spent putting together our second Design Annual, we had to throw a party! On October 1, we brought together over 300 designers, makers, collaborators, advertisers, and innovators from across the city for our Maker Mixer, hosted at the Joinery’s new downtown location. There may not be a better way to celebrate design in Portland than oysters and Laphroaig in a sea of walnut. Sounds from the swanky Portland trio Boy and Bean provided the perfect soundtrack to a collective sigh of relief for another year of Design wrapped.
