ChocolateFest Celebrates 11th Year

It doesn’t get much better than this. If you take chocolate (lots and lots of chocolate), wine, spirits, delicious food, engaging entertainment, and educational presentations, mix them all together, you get ChocolateFest.
Started in 2006 as a “small” fundraiser for the World Forestry Center (because chocolate DOES come from a tree!), ChocolateFest has grown into one of the most popular foodie events in the country. This gathering of sweet aficionados, both creators and consumers, promises the opportunity to sample, taste, savor, and delight in some of the finest chocolate from the Northwest and beyond. And all those sweet profits still support the World Forestry Center, dedicated to teaching about forests and trees of the world.
Taking place at the Oregon Convention Center January 22 – 24, ChocolateFest’s 11th year celebration will delight visitors with a wide range of scrumptious offerings like: chocolate covered pears; beef sliders with dark chocolate candied bacon; pineapple and habanero truffles; and ginger-infused liquid caramel truffles tossed in thai chili. Wow.
Notable events throughout the weekend include educational presentations and entertaining demonstrations that include: Can Cacao Growing Save the Rainforest?; Charlie and The Chocolate Factory: The Fact Behind the Fiction; and making Graham Cracker Strawberry Shortcake with a Goat Cheese Chocolate Creme Anglais.
Your ticket price includes chocolate tastings from those vendors offering them, all educational presentations and cooking demonstrations, and the opportunity to mix and mingle with one of the largest gatherings of chocolate artisans in the country.
