Imagine… you are rising with the sounds and smells of the Pacific Ocean just outside your patio doors. Getting ready for a full day of relaxation, tide pool exploration, hiking, and possibly fitting in a surf lesson or massage before the end of the day. The Cottages at Cape Kiwanda offer the ultimate in luxury accommodations. Each well-appointed Cottage features subtle touches of luxury from the bamboo sheets on every bed to the gourmet chef’s kitchen complete with deck or patio facing the ocean.

Summer is in full swing and if you haven’t made your way to Oregon’s best beach, now is your chance. Cape Kiwanda is the southernmost cape along the 3 Capes Scenic loop and features staggering views of Haystack Rock, the Cape, and mountains of sand dunes just ready for hours of beach play. Pacific City is a small coastal town off the beaten path of Highway 101 and a beautiful 1.5 hour drive from Portland. Surrounded by mountains, rivers, and beaches it is the perfect scene for any getaway. Rent a paddle board at Nestucca Adventures and hit the warm river with sandy banks, ride horses down the coastline of Pacific City and watch the majestic Nestucca River open into the Pacific Ocean while sea lions catch their fill of the day. Maybe you’ll even spot a whale soaring through the ocean less than a mile off-shore.

After your adventurous wishes have been fulfilled, turn on your heated slate flooring and relax in an oversized jetted Jacuzzi tub that faces the ocean and Haystack Rock. Grill up your fresh local salmon with the gas grill on your patio. Borrow a complimentary beach cruiser bicycle to explore the town and fill your growler of fine craft beer at the local Pelican Pub & Brewery.

Don’t just take our word for it. Once you’ve experienced the Cottages at Cape Kiwanda, no other beach retreat will compare.

I would recommend this place to everyone. It's front and center to all activity on the beach. Watch the Dory's going out and coming back in, watch the surfer's, watch hundreds of people climb the highest sand dune on the Oregon Coast. Walk to restaurants, shops, stores, cafe's. Lots of things to do. Can't wait to go back.”

This is one of my favorite places on the ocean. The hotel is excellent and has a beautiful view of the ocean. It located within walking distance of the brewery where you can drink beer and eat very good food. The staff are very friendly and try to do everything to please you. Internet in the room was good too.”
