The winner of Pelican Brewing Company’s “Born at the Beach” Coastal Getaway will enjoy a beer-inspired multi-course Brewers Dinner and two nights at the Oregon coast’s newest luxury destination.

The company’s Brewers Dinners have also grown in popularity, giving beer lovers the opportunity to learn about the newest Pelican brews, taste the talents of Pelican chefs, and enjoy a variety of delicious and unexpected beer-and-food pairings. This year, one lucky winner and a guest will attend a special Brewers Dinner for free, as part of Pelican’s “Born at the Beach” Coastal Getaway.
Beer Cuisine That Tells a Story
The Brewers Dinner tradition continues in 2018 with the Past/Present/Future series. Each dinner tells a different story.
The “Past” event held earlier this year was inspired by the early settlers of the Oregon coast and by Native cuisine. Think dandelion green salad with pan-fried apples, oyster fritters and salt-pork lardons, paired with Pelican’s Five Fin West Coast Pilsner. Also on the menu: sage-smoked rabbit hand-pies with root vegetables and roasted apples, accompanied by Beak Bender Hoppinated IPA.
At Pelican Brewers dinners, the table presentation is always as beautiful as the food.
The “Present” theme, on April 21, will highlight Oregon’s relationship with food and locally-sourced products.
The “Future” dinner arrives October 20. The winner of Pelican’s “Born at the Beach” Coastal Getaway will receive two tickets to this four-hour multi-course dining experience. The event will highlight up-and-coming food trends and explore how culinary science and technology will shape what reaches our plates. Each of the six sumptuous food courses will be paired with a distinctive Pelican beer.
The Pelican chef personally oversees the preparation of every dish.
