THE ARGYLE TASTING HOUSE
Located just 28 minutes west of Portland and rooted in the rustic beauty of the Willamette Valley, Argyle offers a destination that bridges the divide between the natural world and a wine experience that exceeds all expectations in its casual elegance and exceptional quality. It is a place where days can be spent alternating between unforgettable outdoor adventures, languid meals, discovery-filled shopping, and dazzling wines. With spacious indoor and outdoor seating, sliding glass walls, and abundant native Douglas fir, the contemporary design of the Tasting House invites visitors to gather and relax. At the same time, it serves as a vibrant hub within the Oregon wine community by hosting an array of experiential, educational, artistic, and philanthropic events throughout the year.

UNIQUE TASTING EXPERIENCES
For the ultimate wine experience, elevated tastings like Argyle’s Masters of Sparkling Class and Legacy Tasting set the benchmark for wine country hospitality. The Masters of Sparkling Class takes guests behind the winemaking curtain with a hand-disgorging demonstration and the opportunity to participate in a dosage trial before touring Argyle’s famed Tirage Library, which boasts vintages dating back to 1987. The Legacy Tasting showcases the age-worthiness of Argyle’s wines, with a carefully curated selection of rare library wines that changes seasonally.

ARGYLE AND THE ARTS
With deep ties to the Oregon arts community, the winery supports some of the region’s most acclaimed organizations, including the Portland Jazz Festival & Jazz in Schools program, Portland Center Stage, Portland Opera, and a collaboration with the Pacific Northwest College of Art that results in the Art of Sparkling program. Art exhibits and special events happen on a regular basis, making each visit to the Tasting House a new experience.

LANDSCAPE HAS A STORY
Much like the wines that Argyle makes, the landscaping around the Tasting House is representative of place, the Willamette Valley. Designed by noted designer and author Sean Hogan of Cistus Design & Nursery, the sustainable, drought-tolerant landscaping provides plenty of opportunity for exploring some of the area’s most intriguing plantings. The landscaping is a combination of the physical element—plants that use fewer resources and grow well during the wet season—along with the aesthetic element—striving for the look of the Willamette Valley.
