Barn Bash Brings BBQ and Brews to Rossi Farms

Lend your voice, prepare your palate, and vote!

Presented by Cowabunga July 8, 2019

On Saturday, July 13, slap on your best boots and gallop over to historic Rossi Farms for Barn Bash, a rootin’-tootin’ celebration of beer, burgers, brisket, and tacos. Set smack dab in the middle of Portland Monthly’s Cowabunga weekend festivities, guests can enjoy an exciting evening of eating, entertainment, and all-around good times.

Don’t let the laid-back, rustic vibes fool you, though. There will be a clash—between the excellent restaurants and breweries in charge of filling your belly and wetting your whistle. Chow down on grub from the likes of Kim Jong Grillin’, Rosa Rosa, Holy Trinity BBQ, Flying Fish, Yakuza and Taqueria Nueve restaurants. Sip an ale or two, courtesy of Pono Brewing, Great Notion, Gateway, Breakside, and Von Ebert breweries, and for the first time at Barn Bash, Son of Man Sagardo Basque-style cider joins our competition. Each will compete for your vote to earn the People’s Choice awards for Best Bite and Best Brew, while Portland Monthly and other local media will present the Judges’ Choice prize and the coveted Cowabunga golden cow trophies at the end of the night.

Need to take a break from the dining? You’re in luck! A fun respite awaits thanks to our friends at Toyota. They’ve provided an assortment of truck beds and tailgates for photo ops, and our first ever Cowpool Karaoke—your chance to sing your favorite summer road trip songs, tailgate style under the stars. Need to quench your thirst? Grab a refreshing Jim Beam peach lemonade at the Hotel Monaco lounge and Red Star Tavern bar, where you can gather your friends around a sexy STAHL firepit and sit a spell.

We’re not done yet! After the awards, stick around for the Barn Bash exclusive entertainment with Giants in the Trees. Whimsical Americana tunes you can dance to, by Jillian Raye, Erik Friend, Ray Prestegard, and Krist Novoselić. Barn Bash guarantees to be a night of merrymaking that also benefits the community. A portion of all ticket sales for Barn Bash benefits the Parkrose School District
