For a Happy Valley couple, part of building their dream home included maximizing clothing storage—especially for her, a fashion enthusiast. They decided to remodel two rooms—one for the primary closet, the second for accessories, dresses, and even a craft area. Eager to create a showcase, the couple’s single motto for the project was “Light it up!”

California Closets design consultant William Sedlar recognized the couple’s passion for striking design and efficient function. To achieve both, he designed a sleek unit to conceal clothes behind woodgrain doors and display shoes on elegant mirror-backed shelves. Textured glass fronts on the center island’s drawers complement its contemporary Chroma countertop, while a small compartment hosts a steamer.

In the second space, a full mirrored wall showcases purses and shoes, glass-door wardrobes store and protect dresses, and a countertop with drawers and shelving provide space to wrap gifts. If William could light it, he did: Both units feature a range of ribbon, puck, strip, and sensor lights, plus specially-designed side lights for the island’s Chroma countertop.

A breathtaking custom solution that realized the Happy Valley couple’s vision to a tee. Fully illuminated, each unit effortlessly achieves function and style—all while answering to the couple’s motto.
