Festival Favorite Returns to the Pearl District Labor Day Weekend

Portland’s Art In The Pearl Fine Arts & Crafts Festival is the only top national art festival that is produced each year by twenty dedicated, volunteer, working artists who serve on the Board. The distinctly artist-run event is committed to arts stewardship and reaches out to the community through Art, Education, and Entertainment. Art In The Pearl has long been a favorite in Portland and it’s the perfect Labor Day destination to gather and celebrate the end of summer.

If you are new to Portland or have never attended, Art In The Pearl is Portland’s largest outdoor art fair, drawing thousands of people to its beautiful location under a canopy of trees. Located on two park blocks within the Pearl District, the accomplished artists, selected from a rigorous jury selection process, will be available to greet the public, present their art and discuss their process and inspiration behind it. It is a great opportunity to view and acquire heirloom-quality fine art and craft in a wide assorted variety of mediums.
As in years past, the festival will be located in the iconic NW Park Blocks, situated between NW Davis & NW Flanders streets. Some precautions are in place to keep patrons safe in light of Covid which is still a concern. There will be ample space between the artists’ booths to prevent overcrowding in one location. Roving musicians will be circulating instead of a central stage as in past shows. The festival perimeter will be gated as a way to maintain a safe attendance level (if required), offer a directed flow of foot traffic through the show, and provide an additional level of security. You can still find the educational demonstration booths at the event.

Art In The Pearl has long been a favorite festival in Portland. The location of the event, combined with first-rate talent and demonstrations from experienced artists and craftspeople, allows festival visitors an authentic connection to the world of artists. It’s the perfect Labor Day destination to gather and celebrate the end of summer in the Pearl District.
