There’s Something for Everyone at Portland Book Festival

An extensive book fair with local vendors is one of the highlights of Portland Book Festival.

Literary Arts' Portland Book Festival, presented by Bank of America, returns to the Portland Art Museum, Portland’5, and neighboring venues on Saturday, November 5, 2022. This daylong event features author discussions, pop-up readings, writing workshops for youth and adults, kids’ story time, an extensive book fair, local food trucks, and more.

More than 80 authors and presenters will appear at Portland Book Festival.

A general admission adult pass to Portland Book Festival costs just $15 and includes a $5 book fair voucher. Kids 17 and under, or with a valid high school ID, get their passes for free! Passes are available here.

Pop-up readings in Portland Art Museum offer another way to see your favorite authors.

General admission passes allow entry into all stages and events with the exception of a Friday Night Book Market, as well as two headliner events, where book purchases serve as tickets (or you can reserve a seat for just $5 each). One of these events is with actress Selma Blairdiscussing her memoir Mean Baby with Esmé Weijun Wang, author of The Collected Schizophrenias, and the other with #BookToksuperstar Taylor Jenkins Reid, author of Daisy Jones and the Six, and The Seven Husbands of Evelyn Hugo, who discuss her new novel Carrie Soto Is Back with Cheryl Strayed, author of Wild.

Other notable authors appearing at Portland Book Festival include Kwame Alexander, Reza Aslan, Saeed Jones, Casey McQuiston, Silvia Moreno-Garcia, Leila Mottley, George Saunders, Jess Walter, and Renée Watson.
