Presented by Walla Walla Wine October 4, 2022

Wine enthusiasts near and far are invited to the Walla Walla Valley this autumn to experience some of the region’s most celebrated wines and best kept secrets from winemakers. This year’s ‘Wander Walla Walla Valley Wine’ is a winemaker-curated
itinerary series that gives wine lovers a unique close-up opportunity to sip, see and do
as Walla Walla winemakers do. Select vintners have created custom itineraries,
recommended for usage Friday through Sunday from October 1 through December 11,
2022.
This is the region’s sixth annual itinerary program. Both winemakers and winegrowers
have created their distinctive itineraries focused on sharing their favorite Walla Walla
spots, including prized wineries, eateries, and attractions – all while revealing insider
tips and tricks along the way. This year’s series will feature six new itineraries available
for ‘wandering’.
Registration is free. Each itinerary is a pay-as-you-go, giving people the opportunity to
explore and delight in the experience at their own pace. Whether it is seeing first-hand
how small wineries are crafting world-class wines, or experiencing James Beard Award
Winning cuisine, each itinerary gives individuals the opportunity to uncover gems only
found in Walla Walla.
Each itinerary is an insider’s look at some of the region’s must-see spots, giving visitors
the opportunity to wander Walla Walla with a purpose. The area is home to the highest
concentration of wineries in the state of Washington, with nearly 3,000 acres of grapes
and over 120 wineries and tasting rooms.
“The Wander Walla Walla Valley Wine itineraries offer travelers something special – the
opportunity to explore the wine region with the personal touch of recommendations from local winemakers,” says Liz Knapke, Executive Director of Walla Walla Valley Wine.
“In addition to living like a local, guests get to experience wine country during one of the
most beautiful seasons of the year. With the excitement of harvest and the leaves
changing, fall is a wonderful time to wander the Walla Walla Valley.”
