“Our goal with our various accommodations at The Ground is to provide spaces to experience connection to the land, tranquility, and joy,” explained Rachael Wescott – Innkeeper. “Guests can savor a fresh farm breakfast, with food sourced from our regenerative farm, and other local ingredients from across the valley. The property allows guests to connect to the natural environment that surrounds Inn the Ground and our other accommodations. Guests can learn about our regenerative farm and the food we grow through guided farm and permaculture tours.”

The sustainably designed building offers nine spacious rooms with sweeping views of the Valley, framing Mount Hood in the distance. It was constructed mostly in and under the land, reducing the building’s presence on the landscape, and allowing its green roof to provide hospitality to people and animals.

“It’s where agriculture meets viticulture with a view,” said Wescott.

Founded in 2020, The Ground is an ecosystem of businesses that connects farm, food, and people through hospitality. It has accommodated guests since early 2021 at the Tabula Rasa Farms Farmhouse. Inn the Ground opened in July of 2023 and is already inviting guests with its secluded, quiet, and peaceful area, along with stunning pastoral views.

From the balcony, watch cattle graze, or take a tour to see regenerative agriculture in action. Guests also have access to more than seven miles of trails to explore the property. Fitness, tennis, and pickleball facilities are also available for use.  Not to mention, Inn the Ground is surrounded by a multitude of best-in-class wineries just minutes away. The sky’s the limit.

The team at The Ground has also created a marketplace for their own farm products and like-minded farms across the region through Source Farms, which features high-quality ingredients, and grass-fed and pastured meats, raised by responsible farmers in Oregon and fishermen around the Northwest.
