Plan Your Visit to Holidays at the Hangar
Families, kids, and adults of all ages are welcome to explore Oregon’s very own Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum after hours this holiday season. Holidays at the Hangar is celebrating its fourth year in operation, offering a one-of-a-kind self-guided tour of the festive decorations and lighting that brings decades of unique aviation history to life.
Open from December 15th to December 30th, this event is an indoor light spectacle with various exhibits and light décor. This year, upwards of 50 businesses will sponsor different aircraft, decorating their planes with a creative touch. Airplane enthusiasts, history buffs, or anyone looking for a unique way to revel in the magic of the holidays will love to explore these planes and see what fun and festive decorations adorn them.
Does your little one want to meet Santa? Santa is trading in his sleigh for this special event and will fly into the museum on a helicopter. Afterward, he will be available for a visit and there will be hot cocoa and cookies, too!
Holiday activities run from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Tickets are $12 for adults and $8 for kids. Kids aged four and under are free.
"Holidays at the Hangar is the only holiday light event in Oregon where you can enjoy incredible light spectacles indoors while walking through decades of aviation history," said Tyson Weinert, CEO of Evergreen Aviation and Space Museum. "This event is an opportunity to showcase McMinnville as a community, and what our gem of a Museum has to offer to all of Oregon."
