Bellingham’s Fall Festivals

Crisp air, vibrant colors, and world-class outdoor recreation make Bellingham and Whatcom County a paradise in the fall, but don’t forget about the festivals!

Presented by Visit Bellingham August 28, 2024

Fall is the perfect time to plan a trip that combines outdoor play and unique cultural events. For seafood lovers, Bellingham SeaFeast celebrates the bounty of our area’s waters and maritime history. On October 5 & 6, come to the Bellingham waterfront to enjoy live music, feast on traditional BBQ salmon prepared by the Lummi Nation, watch seafood cooking demos, and more. This event is family-friendly!

Music and entertainment lovers, mark your calendars for Bellingham Exit. This new multi-day, multi-stage, multi-sensory music and arts festival—in the vein of South by Southwest—takes place across downtown Bellingham on October 10-13! Prepare for four days of music and comedy, an art market, and extraordinary in-venue art installations.

Indie film lovers: all through the month of October, the Pickford Film Center plays documentaries as part of the largest documentary film festival in the PNW - Doctober! The theater also partners with local organizations to bring important issues to the screen; many presentations feature special guests, pre-screening receptions, and guided group discussions.

For art-lovers, the Whatcom Artist Studio Tour is happening October 5-6 and 12-13 across Bellingham and Whatcom County. This self-guided tour offers a behind-the-scenes look into dozens of local studios where you can meet the artist, experience their environment, and purchase original artwork straight from the source.
