SaunaGlo

Within five months, Milwaukie has landed six new reasons to spend a day downtown!

Hands down, the hottest new place is SaunaGlo, which has a 200‑degree Nordic room. Follow the blast of dry heat with a cedar‑barrel cold plunge or rain‑bucket dump, then sink into the botanical lounge while endorphins flow. Since its opening in December, regulars swear the hot‑cold circuit speeds recovery and melts stress.

Good Measure, debuting in January, fuses café and farm fresh market vibes: pillowy, house-made focaccia, natural wines, and local produce meet brunch and oyster pop‑ups, craft classes, and latte art battles that keep Milwaukie buzzing from dawn 'till last pour.

Sewcial Studies stitched its sewing studio into the scene in February. The bright drop‑in studio supplies sewing machines, fabrics, classes, and coaches who can help you hem jeans or tackle a whole garment. Don't forget to slide next door to Spoke & Word Books for staff picks and local gifts from other makers, then score a tee or cap designed by neighborhood creatives at Made in Milwaukie.

pFriem Family Brewers

In early April, the 1938 City Hall and firehouse welcomed its new residents, pFriem Family Brewers and Keeper Coffee. At pFriem, firefighter lore meets beer alchemy. The original brass pole now channels a draft line feeding three bars with Czech‑style faucets pouring over twenty Belgian‑ and German‑inspired beers, plus a compact cocktail list. Reclaimed gym flooring and garage doors that glide onto a pergola patio keep the vibe historic and easygoing.

Keeper Coffee

Keeper Coffee fuels adventurers with Coava espresso, loose‑leaf teas, and scratch pastries that always include vegan or gluten‑free options in its sunny new space dotted with antiques. Grab a latte before strolling the waterfront.

B-Side Records & Vintage

B‑Side Records & Vintage gave audiophiles another reason to go crate-digging when it opened in mid-April. Hunt for rare pressings and retro threads. A backroom is now home to The Riff, a 70s-themed space hosting local bands. Pop into Decibel Sound & Drink for even more grooves, pouring hi-fi cocktails and spinning some of the best vinyl around.

Sweat, sip, shop, sew, repeat. Milwaukie keeps getting cooler!
