Flower lovers of all kinds, get ready to revel in the beauty of more than 375 different dahlia varieties of all colors! The Swan Island Dahlias Annual Dahlia Festival happens every Wednesday through Sunday, August 1^st through September 28^th, 9am to 5:30pm at the Swan Island Dahlia Farm in Canby. You won’t want to miss it.

The dahlia fields are pure magic this time of year and boast more than 500,000 dahlias. Whether you’re looking to peruse the fields and live in the moment, take a fresh-cut dahlia bouquet back home to enjoy, or simply want to capture some of the stunning petals with your camera, the glory of Mother Nature is on display.

“The festival welcomes everyone,” shared Heather Gitts-Schloe, third-generation grower at the farm. “The best part is that it’s free, allowing everyone a chance to visit and enjoy the beauty!”

While nearly 50 acres of flowers bring the real charm, there are also other fun things to enjoy at the farm while you’re there. Sit back and relax with live music on the weekends, grab a snack at one of the on-site food trucks from local favorites like Blazing Taco, Sugar Lips Donuts, or The Big Scoop, take a floral class and get your hands dirty, or visit The Mercantile, which features hundreds of locally made goods for sale.

For exercise aficionados, sign up for the Canby Dahlia Run for a scenic cardio workout. In addition, Koi fans from throughout the Pacific Northwest will gather to showcase their beloved Koi in both a competition and a celebration of their hobby. Now in its 42^nd year, the public is invited to attend a viewing on August 2^nd and August 3^rd at the Dahlia Festival.

Also new this year, art enthusiasts will love checking out the breathtaking new mural by local artists, Katie Daisy & the Coffee Painter. Completed in July 2025, the mural makes the perfect backdrop for photos when you visit the farm.
